What you get with a maybe
Maybe is the beginning of a journey to find an answer. In my work, I walk with clients, my co-workers, and stakeholders to find the answer to their problems. Having worked with customers who never thought they would see a change to the way they did things to customers who wanted nothing more than something different, my experience can help me adapt to any user group and any problem.
What I believe in
O1. Respect through Empathy
Whether it's through user research or speaking with a co-worker, I find it important to treat every person like someone worth knowing.
O2. Adaptability and Flexibility
There's a reason it's called a value stream, not a value road. I'll work with users on any schedule and any environment to learn what we can do to help them.
O3. Silence is the loudest sign of failure
The key to success in any relationship is constant and clear communication. Even with a successful product, user behavior monitoring and consistent feedback is key to honing the edge of any product.
O4. Above all else, help people
I'm not in it for the money (but I'll gladly take some, thanks). It's important to me that I feel like I'm making a difference everyday. I take as much responsibility for that as I can, but I need a mission that's people focused.
About me
I left home at 18 to join the U.S. Air Force. Anyone familiar with government probably has heard the term "Good enough for government work." I wasn't happy with that. I started my design career trying to help the Air Force modernize their software and create possibilities for process and software change. It's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about helping people. It's where I started, and now I'm hooked.
